MONTHLY NEWSLETTER - March 1, 2017
Dear Parents,
The feeling of
Spring is in the air, and it is a beautiful time of year.
This month, we
will focus on our Spring Theme and Lenten Journey Theme. We will talk about the
40 days of Lent which will end on Palm Sunday (People welcoming Jesus with palm
branches); Holy Thursday (Jesus eating the Last Supper with his disciples); Good
Friday (Jesus dies on the cross for us); and Easter Sunday (Jesus rising from
the dead).
This Lent, our
class will be participating in CRS Rice Bowl, a faith formation program that
helps students experience our Catholic faith, Lenten spirituality, and helping
people in need around the world. Each family is receiving a cardboard “Rice
Bowl” and Lenten Spiritual Guide. Please look through these materials and
consider using them with your family this Lent. The cardboard Rice Bowl is a
tangible reminder of the hunger and hardship faced by the 870 million people in
our world who do not have enough to eat each day. The Rice Bowl also serves to
hold the sacrificial contributions families make during Lent, showing that
small sacrifices do add up. Thank you for using CRS Rice Bowl with your family
this Lent.

Farm Animals.
*Religion: Lent, focus on prayer and compassion as part of our Lenten Journey. Holy Week, Passion story, Good Friday,
Bible phrases and Songs. Significance of St. Patrick’s Day. The
Shamrock and the concept of the Holy Trinity.
LESSON PLAN: (Preschool):
OVERVIEW

that live on farms

animals and other animals
- The children will name ways of
handling feelings in appropriate ways

Kính thưa quý Phụ Huynh,
Không khí của Mùa Xuân đang về, mùa
đẹp nhất của năm.
Tháng này, các
bé sẽ tập trung vào chủ đề Mùa Xuân và hành trình Mùa Chay. Các bé sẽ học hỏi về 40 ngày Mùa Chay và sẽ kết thúc
vào ngày Chúa Nhật Lễ Lá (Mọi người chào đón Chúa Giê-su bằng những cành lá
trên tay); Thứ Năm Tuần Thánh ( Chúa Giê-su ăn bữa ăn cuối cùng với các môn đệ);
Thứ Sáu Thánh ( Chúa Giê-su chết trên Thập Giá vì chúng ta); và Chúa Nhật Phục
Sinh ( Chúa Giê-su sống lại từ cõi chết).
Mùa Chay này, lớp
học của chúng ta sẽ tham gia chương trình "Bát Cơm Tình Thương" của
CRS, một chương trình Đức Tin giúp cho các bé có kinh nghiệm về Đức Tin Công
Giáo, và giúp đỡ những người có nhu cầu cần thiết trên toàn thế giới của chúng ta.
Mỗi gia đình sẽ nhận được một "Bát
Cơm" bằng giấy và có hướng dẫn bên trong hộp. Xin quý phụ huynh vui lòng
xem qua sự hướng dẫn và giúp cho các bé sử dụng chúng trong gia đình. "Bát
Cơm Tình Thương" là một lời nhắc nhở
hữu hình của nạn đói và khó khăn phải đối mặt bởi hơn 870 triệu người trong thế
giới của chúng ta không có đủ thức ăn để ăn mỗi ngày. "Bát Cơm Tình
Thương" cũng để giúp chúng ta giúp cho các bé có cơ hội hy sinh đóng góp một
phần nhỏ của mình giúp đỡ những người nghèo khó.
