Welcome Back!

It is great being back and into the swing of a new month and year. January is a fun month, because it is all about reuniting with our friends and teacher after a long holiday break.

In the month of January our units include: New Year, Winter, Freezing and Melting, Animals in Their Habitats.

Ways We Stay Healthy:

Ø Frequent hand washing is the best way to prevent many illnesses – students wash their hands many times throughout the day.

Ø We clean, disinfect, and sanitize toys, furniture, and other objects in the classrooms.

Ø The indoor areas are clean and maintained.

Have a wonderful month, and thank you for letting us be a small part of your child's life.

Lesson Plan:

*Writing: Identifying and tracing alphabets K-N. Associated words and sentences.

*Math: Number concepts 11-15 and Position words.

*Science: Basic concepts of floating and sinking and water – Changes. An introduction to Animals

*Religion: Concept that God made air and water, Jesus uses signs like water, air, and food to show God’s Love and the Church uses signs to show God’s Love too. Bible stories, Samuel, Jesus calms the storm, Saints, Bible phases and songs.

Ø Week 1: FROZEN FANTASY

·        Story time: The Mitten

·        Music: "I'm a little snowman"

·        Math: Counting Snowball

·        Art: Silly Snowman

·        Science: Ice cube creations

·        Share:  Something white like snow

 

Ø Week 2: CHILLY CRITTERS

·        Story time: Ice Cream Polar Bear

Ø Week 3: RESTAURANT & BAKERIES

·        Story time: Foggy  bakes a cake

·        Music: "Who stole the cookies"

·        Art: Cupcake

·        Math: Cupcake pattern

·        Science: Rolling pin play-dough fun

·        Share: A kitchen utensil

 

Ø Week 4: MY FIVE SENSES

·        Story time: What's the smell?

·        Music: "I have five senses"

·        Art: Coco mug art

·        Math: Marshmallow counting

·        Science: Popcorn popping

·        Share: Something that smell good

Chào mừng quý phụ huynh và các bé trở lại trường sau những ngày nghỉ Mừng Giáng Sinh.

Thật là tuyệt vời khi quay trở lại trường học vào những ngày mới của một tháng mới và một năm mới. Tháng Giêng là tháng của niềm vui, bởi vì sự hội ngộ của các bé và giáo viên sau một kỳ nghỉ lễ dài.

Trong tháng Giêng, các bài học của các bé sẽ là: Năm Mới; Mùa đông; Sự đóng băng và tan chảy; Môi Trường sống của động vật.

Kính chúc quý phụ huynh và gia đình có một tháng tuyệt vời, và cảm ơn đã cho phép giáo xứ là một phần nhỏ trong cuộc sống của con em quý phụ huynh.
